Dinner Idea: Gnocchi Onion Green Spinach Cream Sauce

Hi all of you, how are you today? Well, well what we have today? What is that? I tried to cook the gnocchi. Yes, this is the first time and in my way. Are you exciting? Let's check it out!

Ingredient:
  • About 300 g of potato - I use Australian potato. If you could find some kind of firm potato it would be better
  • About 125 g of plain flour
  • another 30-50 g of plain flour to roll the potato
  • 100 g of green spinach
  • 200 ml of cream
  • 200 ml of water
  • 1 medium red onion - cut in thin-slice
  • 1 medium yellow onion - cut in thin-slice

  • 5 g of garlic powder
  • 5 g of onion powder
  • 5 g of black pepper powder
  • 5 g of crushed red chili pepper
  • 5 g of salt
  • About 4 tbsp of butter
These are what you do:
  • Steam the potato - I use a steamer
  • Mash the potato, add 125 g of flour. Mix them well
  • Pour some flour on your kitchen table, grab some potato flour that you mix it, then roll it on flour and cut it

  • Bring boil 800 - 1000 ml of water in medium-low flame, then put the gnocchi in. Let it cook for a few seconds, take out and turn off the stove.  Here are the tips, use strainer put some gnocchi in the strainer, deep in the boiling water. Using strainer will help you to take out the gnocchi. Make it easy. Take aside

  • Prepare the pan, add red onion and yellow onion that you cut. Turn on the stove on medium-low flame.  Add 2 tbsp of butter, saute for about 3 minutes

  • Add gnocchi on it, add more butter, let it sit for about 3-5 minutes

  • Slowly mix the gnocchi and onion. Let it sit for about another 5 minutes

  • Pour the cream, and pour the water
  • Add salt, onion powder, garlic powder, crushed chili, black pepper. Mix them well
  • Add green spinach, slowly and carefully mix them all of together. Let it cook for about 3 -5 minutes. Turn off the stove
  • Now gnocchi onion green spinach is ready for dinner!
  • This recipe is for 3 people

  • Serve it while hot, and don't forget to eat fruit

Well, what do you think? This is how I made my gnocchi, yes without egg. I am happy with the result, it pretty good, and tastier. We like it! 😊
