Lunch Box Menu: Japanese Curry, Boiled Egg, Boiled Broccoli, and Japanese Rice with Furikake

Hi all of you, how are you today? Well, today I am gonna share one of the lunch box menus from my kitchen. As you see there is nothing special with it, but the Japanese curry looks great!  In this article, I will share with you how I cook Japanese curry. Believe me, it's simple yet tasty! Let's check it out! 😉

Ingredient:
  • 2 potatoes - I use Australian potatoes
  • 1/2 of carrot - cut it
  • Spring onion - Just some of it
  • Broccoli
  • 2 eggs - Like always I would like to choose low cholesterol egg
  • Furikake

  • Japanese rice
  • Japanese curry sauce - I use 1/2 block or read the instruction

  • 600 ml of water
  • Butter
  • 1 onion - cut it
These are what you do:

1. First, cook the Japanese curry
  • Saute the onion with butter in medium-low flame

  • Add potatoes and carrot, fry them for about 3-5 minutes. Add more butter if need

  • Pour the water, let it cook about 10-15 minutes

  • Add Japanese curry block. Mix them well and let it cook for about 5 minutes. At the last minute add some spring onion and mix them well. I cook this curry in low heat

  • While cooking the curry you can boil the egg. I usually boil the egg about 20-25 minutes
  • Then boil the broccoli
Prepare the lunch:
  • Place the Japanese white rice first. Pour furikake on it
  • Place boiled egg, cut in half
  • Place the boiled broccoli and cherry tomatoes

  • Pour Japanese curry in another container/ box

  • Don't forget to bring fruit! This time is pear!
  • Now the lunch box is ready!
