Well, well... today I have a bonus for you! It is another recipe that I call bamboo shoot curry, of course, curry in my version!😉

Talking about the bamboo shoot, it is a comfort food from the place I come from since there was plenty of bamboo plant in my village. Villagers used to make walls from bamboo for their house, meanwhile, they cooked young bamboo (bamboo shoot) to fill the stomach. They used to make it curry. One thing that tag along in my mind until these days is that my friends and I used bamboo to make our handmade light. Yeah, when I was in primary school, we attended evening school that initiative from some of the villagers to create the next generation who are willing to help others and lift up humanity. Because we did not have any electricity, we were in complete darkness after 6 PM. Therefore, as we went home after 7PM, my friends created this handmade light from bamboo. We cut about 30 cm - 50 cm of bamboo, then filled it with gasoline inside. After that, we used some unwanted fabric at home, placed it to enclosed the bamboo. Tada... we light the fabric with lighter!🤩👏😁 The distance of the class from our houses was about 500-600 m, yet we didn't have any nerve to walk home in the darkness. Do not think that our parents would pick us up, NO, villager children like us were independent children. I do remember one particular event, that night we did not bring our handmade light. We went home under pouring rain and lightning without a raincoat or even an umbrella. Instead of feeling scared, we were happy "bring more rain" and danced in the rain. Sometimes we fell and our knees bled because the road was in bad condition with lots of holes, however, instead of crying, we were laugh together.😆😄😅 What an unforgettable memory I have😊 That is my story about bamboo plants!🤗
