Hi all of you, how you doing? Well, what we have today? I would love to share one of my kitchen recipe menu idea for dinner called stuffed tofu. Yes, if you googling there are many recipes about how to make this stuffed tofu. But, like always, I make it on my way and my recipe. Why I always say on my way, because if you see the traditional way, for me it consume a lot of time because we have to mash the seasoning with mortar and pastel. Besides I want to make it more healthy with a lot of veggies. Plus, I don't have much time in the kitchen. So, let's take a look!

Ingredient:


Ingredient: fried tofu, tempura batter (I use Tesco flour), carrot, purple cabbage, spring onion, salt, black pepper powder, onion powder, garlic &onion powder (spice blend) - Photographed by Acik Mardhiyanti / Acik Mdy
  • Fried tofu, I use 6 tofu and cut it in the triangle shape
  • 1 small carrot - shredded it
  • shredded purple cabbage - a handful cabbage

  • Spring onion - cut it
  • 135 g of plain flour - I use Tesco flour. Or just use tempura batter

  • 45 g of rice flour
  • 1 can of tuna

  • 10 g of garlic & onion (spice blend)
  • 10 g of onion powder
  • 5-7 g of black pepper powder
  • 7-10 g of salt
  • If you like pepper then you need 5 g - 7 g of crushed red pepper
  • 250 ml of water
  • About 400 ml of canola oil to fry the stuffed tofu
These are what you do:
  • Mix plain flour and rice flour in a bowl
  • Add garlic&onion (spice blend), onion powder, black pepper powder, salt, crushed red pepper
  • Pour water and mix them well

  • Mix shredded carrot, purple cabbage, and spring onion. Add tuna, mix them well
  • Fill the tofu with tuna veggies one by one

  • Prepare the pan and pour the canola oil. Turn on the stove on medium-low flame
  • Wait for a few seconds, take one fried tofu that filled with tuna veggies (stuffed tofu) then cover it with seasoning flour, and place it into oil, repeat it. Yes, this is the tips that you have to cover the stuffed tofu with seasoning flour one by one when you ready to fry them
  • Fry until golden brown, take aside on kitchen paper

  • This stuffed tofu recipe is for 3 people

2. Now make the soup

this is just an option. I would love to serve stuffed tofu with a bowl of soup. And Japanese rice is just additional if you want.

Ingredient:
  • 1/2 pack of bunapi mushroom
  • 4 green peas
  • 1 leaf of cabbage
  • 1/2 of carrot (small one)
  • Broccoli - just enough
  • Spring onion - cut it
  • 800 ml of water
  • 5 g of salt - add more if you like salty
  • 5 g of onion powder
  • 5 g garlic & onion (spice blended) - you can use only garlic powder
These are what you do:

  • Bring boil 8 00 ml of water. Add onion powder, salt, garlic & onion powder (spice blended)
  • Add carrot and green peas first. cook it for about 2 minutes
  • Add mushroom, broccoli. Let it cook for a 1 minutes
  • Add cabbage, and spring onion, cook for a few seconds. Turn off the stove and the soup ready 
  • Cook the soup on medium-low flame or medium flame
  • This soup recipe is for 3 people
3. Arrange dinner
  • Pour the soup in a bowl
  • Place 1 leaf of lettuce and 4 of the stuffed tofu on it. Add cherry tomatoes
  • Add Japanese rice just optional if you want. For me eat 4 stuffed tofu and a bowl of soup is enough
  • Don't forget to eat fruit
