Rica-rica…?? What is that food? Yeah…today I’d love to share with you about Indonesian traditional food again. We called it, “Rica-rica”. Rica-rica comes from Sulawesi island, North Sulawesi, East Indonesia. I’ve never cooked this menu before. But I love to cooked something different, especially traditional food. This is Rica-rica recipe from my kitchen. Let’s rock! Open-mouthed smile

Seasoning :
  • 6-8 cloves of shallot
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2-4 big of red chilies
  • 2-4 big of green chilies
  • 2-3 cm bulb of ginger
Mash all of these seasoning!

Additional seasoning :
  • 4 lime leaves
  • 3-4 stalks of lemongrass (each about 5 cm)
  • Some of thai basil leaves – it would be great rica-rica if you can find lemon basil
  • Add salt as you like
Ingredient :
  • 250-gram chicken fillet (cut them)
  • Enough canola oil (to fry chicken fillet)
  • 2 tsp canola oil or butter to saute seasoning
These are what you do..
  • Heat oil in a pan. Place chicken fillet, fry them in half-cooked. Take aside
  • Heat 2 tsp canola oil on medium flame. Add seasoning that you mashed, about 3 minutes
  • Add half cooked chicken fillet, add lime leaves, lemongrass, and salt. Stir them about 10-15 minutes
  • Turn off the stove, and serve this menu…
