Hi there, welcome back to Ichi's Fusion Recipes! Today I would like to share one of my great inventions!🤩 It is how we can cook tilapia fish into a delectable one! Are you ready? Let's rock!

To be honest, I am not a fan of freshwater fish. During my stay in the village many years ago, might be only me who did not keen on freshwater fish. Most villagers loved it, but not me. However, after graduated from high school and decided to study in the famous city, I discovered that freshwater fish could become an amazing menu. I found out the key to how to make it great is how to prepare it. Since then I have put freshwater fish on the table. 🤗

Like many of Ichi's Fusion Recipes, black pepper tilapia is easy and simple cooking that we do not need to become master in the kitchen. We use fewer ingredients yet tasty results. It sounds great, isn't it?

Ingredient:
  • 500 g of tilapia fish (skinless and boneless) - I chose frozen tilapia
  • 3-4 tbsp black pepper sauce
  • 1 big yellow onion - chop or cut as you like
  • 4-6 cloves of garlic - chop or cut as you like
  • about 50 ml of olive oil to sauce the garlic and onion
  • 400 - 500 ml of olive oil to fry tilapia
These are what you do:
  • Prepare the pan and pour 500 ml of olive oil to fry the tilapia. Turn on the stove on medium-low flame. The reason why I chose medium-low flame is that I want my fish cooked inside and outside
  • Fry tilapia. Once you add tilapia, do not touch it until the time we flip it, otherwise, the fish will break. Because it is a low flame, give it minutes until the fish is firm (not overcook or burnt). Then turn off the stove

  • Prepare another pan. Pour 40-50 ml of olive oil. Turn on the stove on medium-low flame. Add garlic and onion that you chopped. Add chili is optional. Saute for about 3-4 minutes

  • Add fried tilapia. Be careful as fried tilapia is fragile. Add black pepper sauce. Flip and ensure that black pepper sauce and fried tilapia mix perfectly and turn off the stove

  • Now tilapia black pepper is ready!
  • To arrange is the easy part! Place tilapia with black pepper sauce first, place boiled vegetables. You can choose a wide range variety of vegetables; choose your carbo based on your preference! Do not forget to eat fruit as well!😉

What do you think? It looks yummy! We love this new dish at home. By choosing skinless and boneless tilapia and prepare it carefully is the key to level up this fish as we all know tilapia fish taste earthly. That is the reason why I did not like freshwater fish in the past. You can try this recipe sometime to make your day more vibrant!🌈😊
