Lunch Box Menu: Soba, Tempura Bell Pepper, and Sweet potatoes

Ingredients:

  • Soba (Japanese Noodles)
  • Soba Sauce - Because our soba sauce are out stock we use Japanese dressing
  • Green peas
  • Carrot
  • Salted egg
  • 1 small sweet potato
  • 1 green/ red/ orange/ yellow bell pepper - it's up to you
  • 1/2 ttsp of salt
  • 1 ttsp of  garlic and black pepper
  • a handful of edamame
  • Canola oil to fry tempura
  • 2 tsp of tempura batter (Japanese tempura batter)
  • 100 ml - 150 ml of cold water
These are what you do:

  • Place edamame in a bowl, and pour hot water. Make sure the hot water covers all of your edamame. Let them about 10-15 minutes
  • Place tempura batter in a bowl. Add salt, garlic and black pepper powder
  • Pour cold water, mix them well
  • Washed and cut your bell pepper, and cover with tempura batter
  • Peel and wash the sweet potato, cut in thin size, then cover with tempura batter
  • Fry bell pepper and sweet potato in a pan with canola oil. Just enough oil, don't let your tempura swimming. Fry until cooked
  • Take aside and place them on a kitchen towel or kitchen paper
  • Boil carrot and green peas for about 3 minutes. take aside
  • Boil soba for about 5 minutes, then wash it with cold water
  • It's done!

How to arrange:
  • First, place soba, then carrot, green peas, and edamame
  • In another box, arrange tempura sweet potato, and tempura bell pepper
  • In a small box, place duck salted egg and dressing
  • And don't forget to bring fruit to complete your lunch box. And I would  like to complete this lunch box with a pear or an apple
