Opor Ayam
It’s a long time no see… Now I am back!! Today I want to share with you guys… about delicious one from my kitchen. We called it “Opor Ayam”. This is one of a special menu for Hari Raya (celebrate Aidil Fitri). This is my Opor Ayam recipe from my kitchen, check this out!
Seasoning :
- 6 cloves of shallots
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1-2 candlenuts
- 1 ttsp of coriander
- 5 red chilies
- 4 cm bulb of yellow ginger
- 1 ttsp white pepper seeds (if you have them in the kitchen)
Mash all of these seasonings!
Additional seasoning :
- 2 bay leaves
- 4-5 stalks of lemongrass (each about 5 cm)
- 2-3 cm bulb of ginger (Zingiber Officinale)
Ingredients :
- 200-gram chicken boneless
- 1 L water
- 65 ml of coconut cream
- Little a bit of butter to saute seasonings
- Salt (add salt as you like)
These are what you do guys…
- Heat the butter on heavy pan or wok. Add seasonings that you mashed, lemongrass, bay leaves, and ginger. Saute them until fragrant about 3 minutes
- Pour water, let it boil. And then pour coconut cream. Stir them well
- Add chicken boneless, add salt, stir them well, and let it fully cooked about 15-20 minutes
- The last, serve Opor Ayam
