Sayur Asem

This is one of my favorite food guys… Called it “Sayur Asem”. This recipe made from some of the vegetables. But…it’s not easy to find some of the ingredients in Singapore. So I am so sorry…’cause this time my recipe less than perfect. So this is my recipe from my kitchen!
Seasoning :
  • 6-8 cloves of shallot
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • chili (add as you like). This time I add some of the green chilies. It will perfect if you add some of red chilies
Mash all of these seasonings!

Ingredients :
  • Some of the long beans (I add 5 long beans). Cut as you like
  • 1 eggplant, cut as you like
  • 1 sweet corn. cut as you like.
  • a handful of groundnuts
  • 1 L of water
  • 1-3 ttsp seedless tamarin
  • Salt (add as you like)
These are what you do guys….
  • Boil water in a pot. Add seasonings that you mashed, sweet corn, and groundnuts. Let it boil
  • And then…add eggplant and long bean
  • After a few seconds, add tamarin and salt.  Stir them well, about 5 minutes
  • And serve it…
Easy right…and delicious! I love this recipe Smile

Note :
  • For perfect Sayur Asem, it actually needs some of the ingredients. These ingredients are belinjo nut and belinjo leaves. Actually, it’s important for making Sayur Asem.
