Healthy Dessert, Cheng Tng

Hi all of you, today I would love to share our favorite dessert, Cheng Tng. What is it? Cheng Tng is a Chinese dessert that we love it. Easy to cook and healthy dessert. This is my recipe from my kitchen recipe Be right back

Ingredients:
  • 2 tsp of barley
  • 2 tsp dried red date

  • 3 tsp dried longan meat

  • White fungus about 10 gram - 20 gram
  • 2 tsp gingko nuts (I bought gingko nuts that ready cooked)
  • 6-gram stevia

  • 1/2 tsp or 1 tsp gula Melaka
  • Pandan leaf (knots it)

  • 1.2 L – 1.5 L water
These are what you do:
  • Soak gingko nuts for 5 minutes

  • Soak white fungus. Trim white fungus into small buds, and remove the hard stem

  • Washed barley or you can soak it too for about 5 minute

  • Pour water in a pot. Turn on the stove on medium flame
  • Add gula melaka, pandan leaf, stevia, and barley. Bring it to boil
  • Add dried longan meat, dried red date, gingko nuts, and white fungus
  • Cook them until all of the ingredients soften, it could be for about 15 minutes until 20 minutes. Then turn off the heat
  • Serve it either warm or cold
